InFLOW ®
InFLOW® is our brand dedicated to achieving optimal CORE performance in sport, and in all endeavors of life and profession. It was created and developed by Cliff Skakle during the peaks and valleys of his career as an American Tennis Professional, which is ongoing. Cliff has combined his insights, trainings and overall knowledge into the content on this site, and he has created the DynaPURECore© line of apparel to help athletes and individuals, both on and off the court, achieve a sense of freedom to be all that they are meant to be.
Cliff Skakle
Clifford "Cliff" Skakle is a former professional tennis player from the United States who reached a career high ranking in the Top 250 in the World on the Association of Tennis Professionals World Tour.
Skakle’s career featured notable matches against Jimmy Connors and Eliot Teltscher in singles, and Stan Smith/Bob Lutz & Jan Kodes/Tomas Smid in doubles. Top wins came against Ken Flach, Peter Doohan, Roberto Vizcaino, Jose Lopez- Maeso, and Mike Cahill in singles, and he reached the Round of 32 at Wimbledon in doubles in 1981. That same year, Skakle won the ITF Dutch Pro Circuit in singles, and in doubles (with Alejandro Cortes/Colombia), his best year on tour, before a wrist injury during US Open qualifying ended his rise in the rankings.
Prior to turning professional, Skakle played tennis for University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he was a 4 time All-ACC Individual Flight Champion from 1974-1978. During that same period, the UNC men’s team won the ACC team championship every year. He completed his stellar collegiate career while being coached by his father, Don Skakle, who was posthumously inducted in the ITA Hall of Fame in 1991. Don Skakle led the Tarheels for 22 years, from 1958-1980, and is still considered one of the ‘winningest’ coaches in the country, and a legend in North Carolina.
Cliff Skakle returned to international competition again in 1999 on the International Tennis Federation’s Men’s Senior Circuit, where he was ranked #3 in the World in the Over40 rankings in singles. He has won an ITF Medallion in doubles at the World Championships in Amsterdam and again in Buenos Aires. Cliff has been honored to play in international competition for the United States, including The Potter Cup in Barcelona, India World Championships (competing with his brother, Andy Skakle), and for the Gordon Trophy, which is the longest running international competition after the Davis Cup. Skakle now serves as the Director of Tennis for the New Haven Lawn Club.
His vision now is to make an InFLOW® difference of BeingOnesBEST©.
